Die Regierung erklärte am Dienstag, sie verbiete Bürgern aus Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Südsudan und Syrien die Einreise in die USA sowie Personen, die mit von der Palästinensischen Autonomiebehörde ausgestellten Dokumenten reisen.
Für Bürger von Angola, Antigua und Barbuda, Benin, Dominica, Gabun, Gambia, der Elfenbeinküste, Malawi, Mauretanien, Nigeria, Senegal, Tansania, Tonga, Sambia und Simbabwe gelten teilweise Beschränkungen.
Bestehendes Verbot (Juni 2024):
Damals galt das Verbot für Afghanistan, Myanmar, den Tschad, die Republik Kongo, Äquatorialguinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libyen, Somalia, Sudan und Jemen und verschärfte Beschränkungen für Besucher aus Burundi, Kuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan und Venezuela.
