Spain is unitary but all of its regions are autonomous so it’s basically federal

    3. Important adend that the level of federarization/unio of each country varie even when they are contituniotalie on the same category like spain and the great number of autonomy each province have or Brazil where the frderal goverment has a great power over the states.

India is neither ! It has both the characteristics of a unitary and a federal state.

    6. It’s worth stating that there’s a lot of diversity in terms of regional autonomy even within these categories. Some of these so-called federations don’t really behave as such in practice, because federalism requires a minimal level of democracy to function as intended.

It’s great that the zambas and malambos start playing while they kill each other in horrible ways and counterattack against Mapuche aliens, Peruvian-Bolivian confederates, and the space empire of Brazil.

    11. ELI5 what powers German states have to someone who doesn’t know anything about German government.

UK has devolved government with regional parliaments. Different laws and healthcare systems. Different customs union for Northern Ireland.

All those federal states, and the US somehow is the only one that needs an electoral college to elect its president.
