You can clearly see that a lot of countries are influenced by their English pronounciation, or their native name. But Russia? How does Russia or Rossija become „E Guo“?

I love that most European countries are written phonetically, except for a very few, like England, Germany and France. And there’s Montenegro as Hēishān which literally means black mountain.

China you can’t call france that word
Many of them are abbreviated names. For exemple, the full name for France is Fa Lan Xi Gong He Guo, where Fa Lan Xi refers to France, Gong He means republic, and Guo means country.
What does Rui Dian (Sweden) mean in Chinese? Since it doesn’t sound phonetically as neither „Sweden“ or „Sverige“ (or even „Svea Rike“). The closest thing is Ruotsi (Sweden in Finnish), but even there it isn’t that close phonetically.
Holland != the Netherlands. Like saying New York is USA
