Berichten zufolge baut Russland „Shahed“-Kampfdrohnen auf, um Europa zu bedrohen.
Diese Ansicht äußerte laut Kyiv 24 der Luftfahrtexperte Kostyantyn Kryvolap.
Insgesamt, so sagte er, verlasse sich Russland derzeit hauptsächlich auf Shahed-Drohnen, um die Ukraine anzugreifen, während es begonnen habe, auf seine Raketenreserven zurückzugreifen.
„Die Hauptschläge werden immer noch von ausgeführt "Shaheds." Zum Beispiel 50 "Shaheds" 2,5 Tonnen Sprengstoff transportieren. Man kann die Ära 2022 nicht vergleichen "Shaheds," Einfache Drohnen, die nach Koordinaten flogen, mit fortgeschritteneren "Shaheds" jetzt verfügbar“, sagte er.
Nach Angaben des Experten werden „Shaheds“ bereits zur Aufklärung eingesetzt.
„Wir haben die Situation in der Region Tschernihiw gesehen, als einer "Shahed" wurde von unserer mobilen Feuergruppe abgeschossen, aber der nächste "Shahed" Sie zielten auf das Fahrzeug, in dem unser Team im Einsatz war – zum Glück gelang ihnen die Flucht noch rechtzeitig. Die Russen passen sich an; Sie versuchen, uns so effektiv wie möglich anzugreifen“, sagte Kryvolap.
Der Experte vermutet, dass Russland „Schaheds“ auf Lager hält, jedoch nicht für Angriffe gegen die Ukraine.
„Die Russen horten Vorräte an "Shaheds," und ich glaube nicht, dass es für uns ist. Sie haben schon genug. Sie haben eine ausreichende Zahl erreicht, um uns anzugreifen, und es gibt Spekulationen darüber "Shaheds" werden gezielt für Europa angehäuft, um es zu bedrohen. Wir werden sehen, wie Europa reagiert. Bisher ist es den Russen gelungen, Europa zu erreichen und weitgehend unbestraft zu bleiben“, stellte der Luftfahrtexperte fest.

There seems to be a lot of scaremongering lately about a Russian attack on Europe. As a European, I find this hard to believe.
Logically, Russia has nearly exhausted itself in Ukraine. They have used up most of their resources, money and energy. Motivation and morale are low, and the economy is suffering.
With which material could they even launch an invasion, and in which direction? It’s not like the border countries are just twiddling their thumbs and not preparing défense mechanisms.
If Russia did launch a conventional ( hybrid war is already ongoing) attack on Europe, with which goal, and with which hope? A NATO and/ or European response would be inevitable.
We might not jump the gun for a few stray drones ( leading to accusations of weakness), but a targeted attack would surely trigger a strong response. There’s nothing like a real threat to make a nation pull up it’s socks and behave like a grown up, instead of pussy-footing around.
There’s two points that make this scenario at least somewhat likely.
Russia has been testing NATO’s and EU’s red lines over and over. They sent shaheds into Poland, they cut cables in the baltic sea, they had drones swarming european airports and so on. Sending drones into EU and NATO for actual combat would just be a next logical step since the reactions so far have been not much more than diplomatic protests.
Putin is with his back against the wall. Economy failing, population tired of war, oligarchs not too happy, frontline success reduced to the bare minimum at incredible cost in lives and equipment. He knows he can’t go on like this much longer. He wouldn’t be the first dictator who puts it all on one card again, totally overestimating the strength of their armies. Which would most probably be his end, but also the start of expensive chaos in Russia and many of its neighbouring countries.
It seems unlikely now, but the fewer options putin has, the more likely he is to act irrationally. If he’s not thrown out a window in time.

I have no idea why Europe doesn’t create an EU drone factories. I get they won’t be as cheap as Asian ones, but 1) it’s the future of warfare and it’s not a sunken investment 2) need to up their numbers 3) have some domestic capacity to make them in case Asian suppliers are restricted
