Nobody should fall for this nonsense. The NDP will always back liberals since they are the dominant party that might give into their petty concessions like dental, pharma, ect. They have no interest in winning national elections and have no interest in distinguishing themselves as an alternative to the two parties. Can’t be a working class alternative when they abandon socialist principles

    2. Given how low energy and low attention this leadership race has been, I’m not sure how „wide open“ that door is. I don’t see how any of the current contestants have the ability to revitalize the party, but we shall see. I remember the 2017 race having far more attention given to it.

If they can come together around a smart, charismatic leader with a laser focus on supporting workers and their families, the NDP absolutely MIGHT be ready to play a very meaningful role in the election after next.

it depends on who wins the leadership contest, i feel personally if Avi Lewis wins they will be in the same place or worse. I personally feel that Rob Ashton is the best bet for the NDP. But who knows what will actually happen.
