What’s concerning is that he has close ties with Russian oligarchs and subsequently a strong pro-Kremlin attertude. It seems likely that he will fulfill a similar role to Orban in Hungary (yes I know he’s prime minister not president) and NATO will have another weak link. I understand that he’s a billionaire populist that controls a lot of media in Czechia, but you’d have thought the Czech people might have hesitated to elect a prime minister who will likely prioritise Putin’s interests over that of his own people.
