I kind of agree with the ban on principle, but I know this could never be implemented in a way that isn’t orwellian and bad for everyone else, under 16 year olds shouldn’t be on social media, they should barely be online at all, UK proved there is no interest in doing this properly too much incentive to do it badly, just force it through and blame everyone else
Companies used to self regulate on this and not allow minors but during the 2010s social media companies realised the biggest demo was kids and teens and started to chase them and it was gross, we should have done something then.

My kid isnt going on social media until they are at least 13 and i will be monitoring it like a hawk. This is beneficial for children as they need to be outside playing not on their phones scrolling reddit l

Let the parents parent their kids instead of implementing 1984 inspired surveillance laws. Roblox was exempted from the ban lmao

Ban kids from the internet. Jail their parents if they their kids break the law and stop fucking up the internet for the rest of them.

The US propaganda arms are fuming. Keep going Australia. Do not let your freedom and democracy be destroyed.

Coming up next: Australia bans Reddit so Americans stay out of Australian democracy.

You can brainwash your children but we decided it’s enough of messing with the minds of ours.

      Enough is enough.
