When Trump was first elected a decade ago I had this idea that he was destined to destroy the Republican Party in the same way Anakin Skywalker would very eventually destroy The Sith. It’s taking longer than I expected tbh but some hope remains, they just have to finish throwing themselves down the bottomless shaft of his infinite failure.
At some point this stops being ‚party loyalty‘ and starts being a hostage situation, Republicans keep paying the price for tying themselves to one guy’s ego.
