      I would also give Cuba a straw in this analogy. The Maduro regime (and Chavez before that) have been propping up the Castros for years.

      The US is literally about to invade Venezuela right now for its oil.

      It also killed tens of thousands of Venezuelans by embargoing Venezuela during the middle of a famine. If China embargoed Venezuela too countless more would die.

      OK, I would think that was a pretty smart comment on the situation between the US and Venezuela – if the top half was the US. Or equally valid comment on China, if the bottom half was Indonesia. But this makes no sense at all.

      Sorry but throuh this meme I had a moment where I realized why the USA is actually aggrasive towards Venezuela. (I knew they had oil, but is that where China gets most of theirs?)

      Nevermind it’s like 3-5% of their oil imports.

      That’s funny but it’s accurate. Most of Venezuela’s oil export goes to China

      Yes China needs oil from Venezuela, Not Russia who produces 10x more than Venezuela ever did.

      If I saw this map drunk I’d have to stare at it for a good half hour to figure out it’s Asia and South America

      Venezuela produces less than 1% of the world’s oil, though it has the largest reserves. Since most western countries have sanctioned Venezuela, china is the main buyer of their oil. China has to import energy, but it gets a lot more from nations other than Venezuela. Keep in mind chevron has a special permit to work in Venezuela and is actively doing so; the situation is more nuanced than you might think. Even if America were to invade Venezuela, it would take years to ramp up oil production. And china would just buy more from Russia or the Arab states instead. It wouldn’t really hurt them

      I mean… the US literally Justo stole a Venezuelan Oil tanker in the caribbean so… it should be another country with the straw…

      The irony is ever increasing because China is actually moving a lot quicker towards renewables and the US is trying to do an Iraq in Venezuela for their oil
