Selenskyj: Hätte man das Völkerrecht ernst genommen, hätte Russland 2014, als es ukrainisches Territorium besetzte, mit echten Konsequenzen rechnen müssen. Das geschah nicht – es gab nur Worte. Deshalb braucht die Ukraine starke, rechtsverbindliche Sicherheitsgarantien und kein weiteres Budapester Memorandum.

      He shouldn’t have to be pointing out such obvious things. The whole world is watching this unfold and only a couple nations are providing a little help.

      I am so disappointed that the world is more or less just letting Putin do whatever he wants and kill so many innocent people.

      It’s like we have no idea what to do because we have never seen a war before.

    3. Abso-fucking-lutely correct. The West has completely failed to live up to the agreement. Ukraine gave up the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal (inherited from the Soviet Union) in exchange for security assurances from the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Russian Federation. Russia has broken this agreement twice in annexing Crimea and the full scale invasion and pretty much only hopes and prayers have been the response. This completely proves that no nation should trust that the U.S. will live up to any agreements that are made. The U.S. has proven over and over to be an unfaithful ally!
