Seriously – how does one experience violence online?
The delution of meaning in words, especially when it is about serious subjects like violence, is something we should be worried about.
Don’t agree? Sorry, but that’s violence, and now you are a cyber-violence offender /sarcasm
I ran a fucking meme account and a man tried to dox me and threatened to release my information if I didn’t behave the way he wanted
You leave out data on male counterparts on purpose?
Do men experience less online violence?
I wish I could post that Tyler, The Creator tweet here, cause this shit is a joke
„online violence“
I mean anyone whose identity is being heavily online and public is going to draw a lot of unwanted attention because that’s the open internet lol. The more you’re online and the more you open yourself up to online idiots, doesn’t matter if you’re a journalist or an influencer, the open internet is toxic.
What are the numbers for public men being threatened and bullied online? How do they compare to women?
How much did AI impact them?
Those are the questions you will not find the answer to in this article or the 2 slightly more complete links in it.
Is it legit, even the people polled were picked selectively so I truly wonder. Is there a bigger issue for women(which is perfectly possible), they don’t actually address that question. The focus is on women, to a fault! So we don’t really have any relevant data beside the big conclusion that internet has become more toxic in the last years(no shit Sherlock).
This might serve some role as a public message for those who only read titles, but this is poor work IMO.
