Did he get it correct, in Richard Osman’s House of Games geographic knowledge is genuinely shocking.

    3. People on British quiz shows often don’t know much about Ireland. I’ve been students at top universities caught out by the question “who was the first woman elected to the House of Commons?”. They answer Nancy Astor, the first woman to serve in the House of Commons.

    4. It’s funny to slag them, but in fairness if you asked me a question on British geography, I wouldn’t have a clue

    5. We can laugh at the Brits lack of knowledge but I’d struggle to place most of their counties on a map outside of about 10 of them.

To be fair, I haven‘t a breeze what the largest county in Britain is either. And I’m confident that their most southerly county (do they even call them that?) is Cornwall, but don’t ask me to guess their most northern, eastern, or western.

    7. I was in the UK for a work training thing a few months back and one of the lads there asked me what side of the road we drive on. 100% genuine, they haven’t got a clue!
