How can Britain claim itself as a Democracy when it openly arrests people for social media posts? People as young as 12 are receiving criminal charges all while Britain seemingly ignores bigger issues.

Democracy is a loose word, its used left and right about how great we have it because we have „democracy“. But day by day its getting dissected and new rules that overturn the „freedom“ that used to be.

Also, I’m from England, you can say what you want online within reason. But if you start calling for people to burn down migrant hotels, or threatening to bomb mosques or shouting about how you would love to headbutt your local MP, you’re risking a dressing down from the bobbys. And just at being arrested for something is not the same as being charged and found guilty of an offence.
