And there are people who think this is not enough. If only the government had more money to waste things would be better

In the 76 day period between Trump winning and Biden leaving office $93 BILLION was sent from the DOE, who gave it away with no oversight, to entities with no business plans or financials. That’s more than the previous 15 years combined

This chart isn’t showing taxes going up, it’s showing when they realized people would keep paying no matter what. The jump isn’t gradual because policy improved, it’s gradual because resistance got trained out decade by decade. You give people highways, wars, emergencies, vague threats, and suddenly 5k turning into 30k feels normal because it happened while they were distracted. Everyone focuses on inflation like that’s the trick, but the real trick is that “per capita” number assumes you still feel like an individual instead of a resource. The government didn’t get more expensive, it got more confident. Once they saw nobody rolled it back in the 70s, it was over, every crisis after that just locked it in. They don’t need to raise taxes fast anymore, they just need time.

    3. If You exclude the top 1% the chart would be different. Even more so if you exclude the top 15%

Rich .1% were in 85-95% tax bracket. But now middle people, that means 60% of people are in tax bracket of 15-35% which super rich Elon musk didn’t pay any tax several years. He probably paid tax first time in USA in 2019

    5. Yeah, i don‘t think 1950s roads and utilities would keep up with todays demands…

    6. De-valuation.
I wonder if we called it what it was how popular would the Fed be then?

Revenue is up 6x and we’re still trillions in debt. It’s a spending problem.

This isn’t a conspiracy. The marginal tax rate on the rich was around 80% during the progressive New Deal era. Conservatives have dedicated their lives to undoing the New Deal ever since. Your taxes go up, rich peoples taxes plummet. Policy, not conspiracy.

We used to have progressive taxation. The more money you make the higher percentage of taxes you pay. The poor and middle class paid very low taxes. The government collected way more which allowed us to build infrastructure and other public projects. Corporations invested in expansion and hiring instead of shareholders only.

Then…the rich have spent half a century bribing politicians to pay next to no taxes. See where that got us.

In 1950 corporations paid taxes. By the 2010s the top corporations were subsidized by the individual tax payer

Trickle down baby.. can’t wait til if finally makes its way to the middle and lower class

Using standard U.S. CPI inflation adjustment, $5,420 in 1950 is worth about $70,000–$72,000 in 2025 dollars…. Seems like we are getting a deal.

You already [posted this yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/s/8SJD2d8Mk0) and left it up a long time. Why delete and post the exact same thing again?

You could at least update your content with something new that is better than a screenshot of an AI summary.

Also once again, the country’s GDP was way lower then, corporate tax and income tax on higher tax brackets and estate tax were so much higher for most of this period so your argument doesn’t land like you think it does.
