I’ve said this before but the ONDP would have some real potential if they leaned into being a disruption party. I talk to a lot of young parents who vote OPC and who are struggling with RTO. She could win a lotttttt of voters with a provincial flexible work policy. She could win even more votes by mandating minimum paid sick days for all workers. But the party has to be willing to absolutely rock the boat and make waves. A lot of people are tired of the status quo and want a party that will change it up, and loudly announce it.

Then if they get savvy with social media they could turn out more people who either didn’t vote or voted red/blue. But they need to command attention and keep it. That’s how they’ll get their message out and keep it on people’s radar.

    2. If they’re doing it right, then now comes the hard part (and continues for another three to four years).

If they’re doing it like the ONDP of the past few years, now comes the „sit back and wait for Ford to make enough of a mistake to get voted out“ part. Which has been pretty easy, and all gone exactly according to plan… except for the bit where the voters actually vote him and his government out.

She started doing the messaging in the right way by getting tossed for calling Ford names, however playing dirty is how to beat Ford.

Its not playing in the lines.
