      Anyone dumb enough to move to Russia is more than dumb enough to be in its military.

      That is an absolutely insane move by Putin, which must show the level of desperation.

      Russia is facing a terrible manpower crisis partly because it has a badly ageing population, partly due to the war they have taken a lot of casualties and a lot of people have emigrated.

      The Russian regime was trying to plug those gaps by quietly allowing for more immigration.

      If Putin is pulling a „actually your all off to the killing fields“ then that is going to obviously heavily discourage immigration.

      Unless they can somehow force the Europeans into buying oil and gas again, Russia is facing an absolutely awful future economy.
