Menominee County, Wisconsin, coterminous with a native american reservation.

That only 80%+ county in Wisconsin is the Menominee reservation. Beside that, Milwaukee, and Dane counties, most of the state is very purple.

One of those counties in West Virginia (Webster) voted for a Dem as recently as Obama in ’08!

Can’t tell if it’s filled in or not, but Manhattan (New York County) voted 81% for Harris

Cool, now can we see a cross-reference of inbreeding rates by county?

Look at those two blue counties in Mississippi of all places.

One of the few D 80+ counties is Orleans (parish), the city of New Orleans
It’s notably extremely blue, but in a different way than what people might expect for a super blue city. Because it’s New Orleans and all.
This is also a product of how boundaries are drawn. Neighboring Jefferson parish is ruby red. It just so happens that the city ends abruptly at Jefferson parish and people essentially self-sorted. Republicans can move a couple of miles out of New Orleans and be in Jefferson parish. Liberals can do the opposite. All without going very far at all.
And of course desegregation played a big part there.

Im mortified that Massachusetts isn’t blue anywhere

Again the emptiness of the rural western US warp reality. Many of these counties west of the Mississippi have a few thousand people, or less.

The counties in SF, ATL, DC/BWI probably have more population than all the red combine lol. Also had no idea Dekalb voted over 80% … figured it was more like 70/30, damn!

Two counties in Texas along the border holding off the Republican Wall from running from Canada to Mexico.

An 80% – 20% split is plus 60 not plus 80.

What’s cool is that the red places are almost exclusively unchanging hells that you would never want to live and you will probably get assaulted if you walk into a bar if you’re gay or black
