I know this is verging on conspiracy, but there’s been so much preparation, plans and drills being put into motion, I’m starting to believe there’s concrete intelligence compared to „Russia is being aggressive again“.

Suppose that war does break out in near future.
What should the regular citizens of NATO do to prepare for that?

It’s worth noting at a full on war between all of Europe and Ruzzia will turn full nuclear very quickly, since Ruzzia will be absolutely smashed very very quickly.
Europe needs huge nuclear weapon capability (1000s of warheads) to pre-emptively destroy Ruzzia quickly from day 1 of the war, or risk annihilation.

We better get our robot army ready because I am not sending my children into trenches.

Catch me up. Wasn’t this the reason for NATO to begin with?

Let’s face it world won’t be how it used to be. It’s better to die on the side of the good rather to side with dictators, pedophiles and Nazis. Once again we have to fight for our freedom and peace because of these fuckers

+100. And real (aka visible to russia pragmatically, not on paper) preparations is the only way really block Russian appetite for wars of conquest and prevent them, imho. Promises and „we will do it later“ will not work with Russia – they are simply expecting from the start that any such developments will turn into endless bla-blas

I’m not particularly fond of the idea of war. But I intellectually understand the „si vis pacem, para bellum“ principle. Now, while russia is a foe to consider, their lamentable expedition in Ukraine makes them look more like a paper tiger. I may change my stance under heavy artillery bombardment though. Now, aren’t we avoiding the elephant in the room? Even if not as geographically relevant, what if China decided to go rogue like russia? They could after all move troops around through russia (wouldn’t fare well for them but who can tell?)

I thought everyone said Russia was so weak they couldn’t even take east of ukraine?
