“Wow. I gotta say, if my company’s got that kind of green, I’m sure they can afford to un-cancel one of their best shows,” Colbert said, drawing cheers from the studio audience. “CBS, you heard the people — bring back The Equalizer.”
…
Colbert also noted that the Paramount bid for WBD includes $24 billion from wealth funds controlled by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. “And when the dictator of Saudia Arabia gives you billions of dollars, I’m sure there’s no catch,” he said. “In a totally unrelated story, I’m looking forward to next season’s new CBS hit comedy, Young Mohammed bin Sheldon.”

Oh, Stephen… why do you ask questions for which you know the answer.

I’m a liberal but this is dumb. The argument they made is that the show was losing money. I don’t believe that but the fact they have billions for an acquisition doesn’t invalidate the reason they claimed for cancelling the show.

It’s because Donald Trump’s penis is extremely small and completely dysfunctional.
>>Over fourteen years, Hungarians have witnessed the erosion of checks and balances, the manipulation of public perception through state-controlled media, and the enrichment of those close to the prime minister. The country is becoming an authoritarian laboratory, and a blueprint for right-wing leaders who wish to consolidate power in their home states. **Americans, however, have one final chance to step in, heed warnings from the Hungarian experience, and avert the subversion of their democracy**.<<
article is from last year.. but with all the corporate mergers and monopolies trump has allowed… As soon as paramount bought CBS i knew stephen was out.. he knows whats going on. and hes saying as much as he can for people to understand before his exit
We saw what they did with kimmel… and under that was broadcast sinclair.. which blocked his return in not only my area but others.. paramount aggressively going to WB is another attempt to take more control.

He was canceled because he was losing money. They may have money to throw around but they don’t necessarily want to burn it either.
