Ich habe kürzlich einen Small-Blind-Test durchgeführt, weil ich neugierig war, wie gut die Leute das erkennen können KI-generierte Kopfschüsse Abgesehen von echten Fotos.
Ich habe gesammelt 40 Bilder:
- 20 echte Porträtfotos (Telefon + DSLR)
- 20 KI-generierte (unter Verwendung eines persönlichen Identitätsmodells, an dem ich trainiert habe). Gehe zu)
Ich habe Beleuchtung, Hintergrund und Ausdrücke so nah wie möglich gehalten.
312 Personen nahm an der Umfrage teil. Folgendes ist passiert:
Ergebnisse (überraschend nah):
- Gesamtgenauigkeit: 58 % (knapp über der Vermutung)
- Echte Fotos wurden mit „KI“ gekennzeichnet 41 % der Zeit
- KI-Fotos wurden in 43 % der Fälle als „echt“ gekennzeichnet
- „Gute Beleuchtung“ brachte Menschen dazu, Bilder als echt zu markieren unabhängig davon, ob sie es waren
Interessantester Einblick:
Die Leute entdeckten keine KI, sie entdeckten sie Produktionsqualität.
Wenn ein Foto sauber, gut beleuchtet und komponiert aussah, gingen die Leute davon aus, dass es sich um KI handelte – selbst wenn es sich um eine echte DSLR-Aufnahme handelte.
Umgekehrt wurden einige KI-Fotos mit natürlichen Unvollkommenheiten als „echt“ gekennzeichnet.
Ich arbeite an einer Visualisierung der Verwirrungsmatrix + der Konfidenzwerte und kann sie bei Interesse veröffentlichen.

I’m curious what percentage who misidentified the real photos ALSO misidentified the AI photos. Like are there just a large percentage of people who suck at telling the difference?
Basically humans are terrible at being human detectors 😂
our brains are using vibes, not details, to decide what’s real.
What was the demographic of „people“?
Tbh I was part of the test and I got destroyed by the AI images. The realistic skin texture is cheating man.

Sounds contradictory?
Well, this is disturbing. But not unexpected.
This is dataisbeautiful, so, that large figure could have just been a couple of text numbers, i.e. „AI phots 57% correct, Real photos 59% correct“.
the vast majority of that figure is wasted. It is just a very large yellowy-orange rectangle, and a very large orange rectangle. You can’t even see the actual numbers, I’m just guessing it’s around 57% or 59%. And yeah, it’s basically the same number.
I wish you could post a photo or 2 just for examples, I want to see how close these really were!
