Apart from the wealthy, close to LDP and others, most of the Japanese are poor fellows, that’s why. Many Japanese young people can’t afford a house, can’t afford to get married, have children… It’s frustrating to have a good education, being squeezed by the system and yet not being able to have a decent live. 

Most developed countries are going in this direction as well. It’s full societal stagnation.
