    1. Where did you get that info?
From my knowledge a minority really wants that and the rest hate the idea

    2. Majority of Poles = womens and older guys. But not the ones that would be obligated to serve.

    3. Right one is wrong

„I am for somebody ELSE dying for this country“.

That is problem with military service – not those who serve are asked about it.

Majority of Poles (that would not be the subject of compulsory military service), I assume?

    5. why don’t they all volunteer if they like it so much. That ought to solve the problem :))

    6. I’d be for a vote on compulsory military service IF the only people that can vote would be males in fighting age that would be called up.

The majority of these are people not in danger of getting conscripted. Typical, really.

„The majority“ is women and old people.

They can go die for this country, i wont

My country did absolutely nothing for me during my 43 years lifetime and I wouldnt do nothing for it in exchange. I was running small company my entire mature life and we are treated like shit here so. Our constitution says that every Polish citizen is obliged to defend the country so I assume that women arent citizens cause they arent obliged.

In these days nobody „die for the fatherland“, we are in 2025, where very little matters the concept of nation, where no one cares about you, unless you work yourself out, pay taxes and stay with the just to pay an overpriced home and goods. Where everything is indeed ruled by elites for their shitty oligarchy games. Going to war with Russia is the stupidiest thing ever.

Is not in risk your security, nor your language, nor your loved ones, nor your civilisation. Nothing is in risk. It’s just a game of powerful cunts that brainwash you to die for the nation.

      Not to war.

In unrelated news: The majority of Poles is not eligible for compulsory military service.

    13. „*majority of Poles* want to reinstate compulsory military service“ = Poles who will not be called up for military service

Priority in joining the army should be given to people who actively lobby for compulsory military service.

I am in my thirties and (most likely) this will not apply to me, but I remember when I was 19, I had better things to do than run around in circles and dig trenches because some bald drill sergeant told me to run around in circles and dig trenches.

I pay quite high taxes so that professional soldiers can defend me.

As a woman, um, no thank u, I’d rather not lose my father and husband

In XXI century, wars are won by professional armies, not waves of barely trained cannon fodder.

Thank you for attending my TED talk.

My dad seriously thinks ill go back to fight in the army if anything happens even though we left 20 years ago when I was 3 years old

      [insert Anakin and Padme meme]

      Equal for both genders, yeah?

Equality for men and women, right?

Meanwhile, I’m not (yet) a polish national but I’m all for military service. I’m not for necessarily compelling the rest of the population into it, but once I get my red book, I want to at minimum take as much of the civilian military training as possible and then see from there if the uniform would suit me.

I’m not a military enthusiast or fond of following orders, but this country has given me so much so I feel obligated to give back in whatever way she needs. And if that means a temporary pivot away from working in tech and instead for the military, so be it.

The left picture is wrong. We absolutely love our country and are very proud of it. We complain about things, we hate PiS/PO/Legia Warszawa/Nowak from the 2nd floor, but not our country. Poland can be just better without Nowak from the 2nd floor 😉

    20. Why do i have weird feeling this is far from majority between people that would be affected, because its very easy to be patriotic with someones elses life

    21. Unless Dominika Kulczyk is sent to the very frontlines with a rifle in her hand I’m not willing to fight. They’ve got billions and lands worth protecting. I’ve got nothing.

    22. MarekSpodBiedry on

The majority is older people, women, and people AFTER military service. Most young people – those affected by that decision do not want it. While I love my country and I believe I am a patriot I WILL NOT die for idiots using their power for their own goals. Poland will NEVER die as long as we have ourselves and we showed that tens of times, with the longest one lasting 123 years! Polska gurom!
