It’s funny now that you mention it but yes, I guess in general we tend to go with darker shades and colors. I also think it’s not just a seasonal thing, you can see this at all times.

Bc its timeless. You can never go wrong wearing all black. You can dress it up or down

It comes from fukarallek (poverty). If you have a yellow winter jacket once you wear it a couple of times other fukarej are gonna try and make you look bad by pointing out its a shit color or that you have it tattooed(meaning u r wearing it nonstop) so u dont stand out and make other fukarejs look bad. Most people cant afford colors simple as that. Others who do cant afford the time to develop a personality that can wear colorful stuff without looking like a dickhead.

It comes from communism. Dark colors absorb more sun, so back in the day „it kept us warm“. So it stuck

I believe (and I’ve noticed this recently) the black color is the go to color for winter coats or winter puff jackets… because choosing a specific color you have to be very careful because it doesn’t go with anything, you need to have a specific wardrobe and you’ll more easily will get bored of that color and you either have to buy a new one of change it occasionally. So the best pick is black color because that will be your outfit the entire winter.

I don’t think it’s a tradition or a thing that only albanians do, it’s more of a safer color for winter. I might be wrong this is only my opinion

      It’s a safe bet.

Wear black, a pair of jeans and some white or other colored sneakers or shoes and that’s basically it.

Honestly Albanians generally tend to have a paradoxical sense of style. If it is a famous brand they’ll wear it no matter the color or the fabric. So it is fashion and trend-oriented rather than cultivating an individual attire.

Few really pull off more daring colors like shades of yellow, green, purple or blue or have a deeper, subsurface level of knowledge about fabrics; let alone having a sense of style.

It goes well with everything, i can see a peson with a white hoodie and blue jeans, a person in grey shoes, grey pants, white shirt… wearing colors with basic clothes is usually much difficult for combinations so people dont bother.

      Also black just looks dope.

I’m in my lunchroom on break in Canada right now and majority of people are wearing black or dark tones/colours in general.

    9. Black is basic, and you can’t go wrong w it. I’m wearing khaki today tho lmao.

    10. Because most people dont have enough money to go clothes shopping whenever they want and only go when something doesnt fit anymore or is worn out

Great, now we can’t even wear clothes without someone having a problem with it 😐

Black and white are the often the cheapest and most widely available clothing option

Even in America Patagonia black jacket 190$ Patagonia blue jacket ? Buddy that’s 220$! You want blue! Lmao

As Albanian my logic goes I’ll take black for 30$ less it’s the same jacket I don’t care

Also in winter a mini hack if the sun is out you can wear less bulk if your wearing all black as it naturally heats you up from sun absorption

Also buying a colored jacket like green or yellow or red makes it hard to wear with a lot of items that don’t match the color so if your buying colored jackets it’s more outfit specific

      Black goes with anything

I’ve been in America for 25+ years now and I still have the back home mentality not to much color not to much color pop or brightness in my clothing or else ima look gey lmao it’s fucking burned in my brain.

I remember I got a pink shirt from a HS gf once. We had this thing in HS were you wear matching shirts for Valentine’s Day with your gf and she made a shirt she wrote with marker on it etc. I wore it and my dad goes oooo u boj peder lmaoo

Lol, I realized the same thing in Kosovo. Indeed, men especially only wear black. That’s because they wanna look classy…

    14. Black is seen as a classic and safe choice I think. It also makes you look slim 😅. People who wear bright colors are seen as too bold here. It’s always a mix or earthy tones , black , white, red for the holidays to mix it up haha

    15. Most ofthe people have only one winter jacket that they use for 3 months. A thing inly possible if the jacket is black and doesent show dirt

    16. Colors are going away, even cars are only black, white and grey anymore.

    17. Albanians are depressed in denial. Our culture, our media, the way we dress.

    18. Winter clothes are generally black because black absorbs more sunlight which equates more heat. Take pictures throughout the seasons and you might see something

Po ik re gollobords na ca karin ti pse vishen me te zeza shqipetaret

    20. Tbh I’ve seen this question being asked about a lot of countries (ex. Korea) hahaha. I think lots of people like the neutrality of it all, you can wear it most places with it still being appropriate. Also, it just goes with every other colour :p

Na çat karin o turista! Pse kshu pse ashtu? Per ça karin ke ardh ktu. Duke i bere dhe foto ne rruge njerzve. Ik mor rracqir!

3 reasons. 1 black color is cool 2. It hide belly and other fat areas 3. We kinda dad inside. We try our best but our lifes are sad

    23. „It goes with everything“ is the excuse. Reality is that most cannot afford to buy new clothes often. Other colors stand out and show the wear and tear sooner. Most have only one winter jacket wear it for several winters. Low purchasing power limits the buying option and most opts to thr default, the black outfit.
