At this point as miserable and painful as it is, I think it sadly the only way people dumb enough to have voted for this is to learn the hard way.       I live in New York City, which granted is one of the most expensive places on the planet however, a pound of beef one can of beans and some mixed greens just cost me $20. How in the world is it even affordable to cook for yourself anymore?

      I just listened to Dave Ramsey tell some woman that based solely on her sharing that her and her husband have a $1500 mortgage, there’s no way their total $75k (presumably before taxes) household income isn’t enough for them to not just get by, but to also build significant savings. “There must be money going somewhere else.”

      Yeah, no shit, Dave. Taxes, utilities, insurance, vehicle fuel and maintenance, and food, and they’re all at record highs. Never mind doing something enjoyable for the sake of it, from time to time.

      It’s fucking la la land out there for rich folks, clearly.

      Well it is his fault. He took a booming economy where we were just beginning to see the benefits of, and wrecked it within a few months. It takes no time to break something but a LONG time to build or rebuild something.

      So it’s also the fault of people with short attention spans and willful ignorance who decided that the guy who crashed the economy four years prior was going to be the guy to NOT crash it again.
