      I love him! And he deserves it! I DO belive he’s doing journalism of the highest order.

      However …

      For as often as he’s gone on the news networks (CNN and FOX!) And said „…we’re a comedy show, we’re not ‚the news'“ … I think he has to respectfully decline this. It would really make the point.

      (Again – I DO believe they’re doing journalism – AS satire!. I DO believe they deserve it. I’m just saying … )

      It’s more than just a journalism award – He stood up for our freedom and democracy. He’s an American hero.

      *The Daily Show* host, 63, will be honored at the ceremony for his work in a new award category: Comedic News and Commentary. The awards, which were first established in 2001, are administered by the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism’s Norman Lear Center.
