Trump can claim whatever he wants but we live in the real world where our increasingly diminished purchasing power tells us what’s really going on.

Another real truth is Trump is devolving into a raving lunatic in front of America and the whole World. There’s no way that guy is going to sell anyone beyond his magas on anything he says anymore.

    2. From the article:

During Trump’s 90-minute speech in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, he reiterated that his favorite word is “tariff”.

“You could give up certain products. You could give up pencils. Because under the China policy, you know, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need one or two, you know. They don’t need that many,” Trump said.

Earlier on Monday, in an interview with Politico, Trump says he would give his economy a grade of “A-plus-plus-plus-plus-plus”.

According to a report published in October by the Federal Reserve of St. Louis that looked at data from January to August of this year: “The rise in prices beginning in early 2025 coincides closely with tariff developments, and our model-based regressions confirm that these effects are statistically and economically significant.”

Yeah you don’t need pencils, food, clothing, housing, or medical care. Just do without. Inflation is a Democrat Hoax. That’s why we’ve stopped publishing inflation numbers.

It sure is a world away from Milton Friedman’s economic ideals and lessons involving pencils.

    5. I went to buy a special, yearly release hallmark ornament today. I know they are over priced, but it’s one thing I have splurged on every year since they first started making them. They went up from 25.99 to 31.99. I asked the ladies working there what the deal was. Both of them informed me it was the tariffs.

Hey Piggy, maybe you could give up your ballroom or maybe even that 45-million-dollar donation to the Taliban.

„Join the MAGA revolution. It’s just like the French revolution, only in reverse.“

Brilliant! All you have to do is stop buying so many damn *pencils* and you’ll be able to afford all the groceries you want! Maybe you’ll be able to afford a ballroom or even a Qatari jet too!

The only way I will give up my pencils is if you pry them from my cold, dead hands lol

So Karoline Leavitt’s knowledge about economics is being tested now.

    11. Is the USA going to be like Ethiopia and Sudan when you are on holidays to them and you give kids pencils who can’t afford them 😉

    12. I was actually just thinking that my monthly pencil bill has gotten too high. It’s just a luxury we can’t afford in times like these I guess.

Oh, it’s the he $3 I paid for 50 #2 pencils for my kid that fucked me and NOT that regular ground coffee has gone from $0.21 OZ to $.0.69 OZ in a year and my medical insurance has doubled.

    14. Damn millennials irresponsibly spending all their money on avocado toast, lattes, and pencils!

Why would we need to give up pencils if the economy wasn’t going downhill? In Biden’s economy I used plenty of pencils.

Donny Two Dolls, No Pencils sure did make America great again! Only it’s the Great Depression.

Why do we have to give up anything if the economy is so red hot and A++++++?

      >“All I’m saying is that a young lady, a 10-year-old girl, 9-year-old girl, 15-year-old girl, doesn’t need 37 dolls,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday. Earlier, he told NBC News’ Kristen Welker: “I don’t think that a beautiful baby girl needs — that’s 11 years old — needs to have 30 dolls. I think they can have three dolls or four dolls because what we were doing with China was just unbelievable.”

All I keep hearing is that the rich don’t have enough, and the rest of us have too much. They had me believing it for a long time, that is no longer the case.

Seamless transition from „I’ll bring prices down!“ to „You don’t need all that stuff anyway!“
