      Makes sense, even if it is a one time use passport, it’s still a passport, and this throws their citizenship status into disarray.

      But Taiwan is recognized as a part of PRC officially by most countries? They only dont because of TSMC

      Nope. passport is passport even if it „only“ single use and that person essentially renounced citizenship by using it.
