But Donald Truthed to us in a social media blizzard at 4am in the morning, that the economy is booming and there’s jobs everywhere.

This is even scarier if you consider the possibility that the administration is hiding the real numbers, The economy may collapse before people even figure out they were holding back data.

    3. Capitalism is a complete disaster and the only solution capitalists have is more capitalism.

    4. I personally know two people who got laid off the same week in November. Two 150k+ legit career jobs

I got laid off this year and survived another one late last year. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

      Fuck these ghouls.

Maybe he should check the Tariff shelf, see if there’s any extra money there to hire people back.

Maybe some of those laid-off will be Republicans and realize that Trump is not on their side and vote the Republicans that support him, out of office.

Please vote all Republicans out of office next year.

    8. Seems like we should try letting people who have the better jobs record govern longer.

    9. This is how you bring manufacturing jobs back. Collapse the economy and drive wages lower than the Asian and South American countries we offshore too. Then those countries offshore to us.

    10. We’re never going to see an official jobs report again, and if we do it’s going to be completely untrustworthy.

    11. But numb nuts keeps say the economy is booming. Tell that to the millions of people that have lost their jobs due to his assinine policies.

And you can’t really call it a five year high when the reason for those layoffs five years ago was a global pandemic. This is probably closer to a 12 year high. (Edited from spelling it „payoffs,“ not sure how such a Freudian slip happened with this administration🤷‍♂️)

    13. Good, the only language the American voter responds to is suffering. If the suffering must continue for us to come out the other side with actual systemic policy change from the dems…then so be it

I was laid off today. Woot for me. The HR person on the call said “this is actually a good time of year to be looking for a job”. I was so amazed by it that I didn’t even respond. Of course I have ALL the best comebacks for it now.

      Lol, it should read:

“Layoffs hit the same high since Trump was last president”

    16. InSaiyanRogue on

Wild. Your telling me that the last time layoffs were this high Trump was president? It’s almost like republicans are bad for the economy.

Can’t propagandize your way out of slowing job growth and a shrinking economy. Your guy is not America first maga

Wasn’t there a Great Depression the last time we did sweeping tariffs? 🤷‍♂️

    19. This is bad. A 5 year high… which means the last time it got near this bad there was a global pandemic shutting the world down. There’s no excuse for this.

In the Movie Animal House during the closing scenes Kevin Bacon is shouting for everyone to remain calm as John Belushi drives the death mobile through the parade and trashes it .
That’s all I see coming from this administration .

How many different ways do we have to experience just how deeply Republicans hate America?

    22. Are we great again yet? Will his idiotic cult followers ever wise up to the reality of just how terrible of a president he is?

    23. I’m in the trades. the people im seeing laid off aren’t because AI or whatever is taking their jobs it’s because inflation is removing the work.

Assets are the only thing somewhat stable. Savings are not at this point. Unfortunately we can’t all buy property and dish out a few grand to an IRA each month on top of bills.
