Calling for elections immediately after a corruption scandal is not suspicious at all, no sir.
On the other hand, holding an election just to see who runs opposite Zelensky is probably the fastest way to find out where the rot is coming from.
Sure, as soon as war is over. Before that it can’t happen at all – having an election would go against the law.
I would demand that Trump and Putin first held elections which were monitored and approved by a European election observation group.
How can Ukraine hold elections with Russians controlling a huge chunk of eastern Ukraine? The next step for Russia is to demonstrate that the occupied territories are 100% for Russia and weren’t included in the vote, so they are indeed Russian.
Perhaps Trump wants to run for president without the southern US states voting due to a Mexican occupation of the US.

The „they need elections!“ narrative is so funny considering his approval rating is like 65%. If they took votes he would be an absolute shoe in. Total psyop and waste of time.

His Ukraine election fixing campaign is ready to go, with a puppet president ready to hand the country over to the war criminal.
I think he is the first to organize elections when the Russians are beaten and thrown back. I expect he will not participate then.

I’m sure he means, once the war is over, because he himself knows, that elections, by their own constitution but also factually, are not possible while the country is at war.
I really hope he retires after the war and let others continue. That would greatly help rebuilding Ukraine with fresh people, instead of Zelensky slowly losing power over time
Maybe the fucking Americans should clean their own house instead of harassing the strongest leader in Europe.
How can you have elections when a significant portion of the country is occupied by a foreign invader? Hypothetically, if Mexico invaded Texas and occupied it, should Texans accept the results of any national election held while they are occupied? Conversely, if Mexico posted armed soldiers at every polling station and wouldn’t guarantee the secrecy of ballots cast by citizens of The Republic of Occupied Texas, should the U.S. government be expected to accept any results that come out of a referendum on whether Texas should stay under Mexican rule or be returned to the U.S.
Note: Nothing against Mexico or Texas. Just a hypothetical using a border country and a border state.

If I were Ukrainian, I’d wish for an election because that would mean that war was over.
To be honest, nobody with any sense wants to do his job.
– Millions of eligible voters live under Russian occupation.
– large parts of the country with many election districts are under occupation.
– how the fuck do you open voting stations in Mariupol, Donetsk, Simferopol etc. and ensure free and fair elections?
– millions of eligible voters scattered around the world as refugees.
I would like to learn the legal possibility where these elections wouldn’t be instantly questioned as invalid.
