The manufacturer of An-22, the world’s largest turboprop aircraft is Antonov, based in Ukraine, not Russia. And the An-22 was built in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. But since it’s not produced anymore, they have to salvage parts from other airframes.

Without logistical support, it is extremely difficult for them to maintain this plane. They were planning to retire it starting last year in 2024.

It didn’t crash, it just performed a „special landing operation“.

I hope these type of repairs spread to the whole fleet.

Probably a failure of the Gravity Repeller. They can be a bit glitchy in the wrong hands.

If you’re good at IKEA you can quickly put it back together, no one will know.

Quite an old airframe, I’m surprised they are still trying to use them.
