So the article didn’t actually say anything new: the UK is ready to send 8 billion euros only if EU members agree to use the Reparation Loan.

But, by the way, this just perfectly shows that neither the UK nor Canada is in any hurry to be the first to show some courage and confidence. They’re all waiting for Belgium or the EU to make a move.

And why are they so hesitant, exactly? Because some people keep trying to convince me the scheme is totally safe and nothing can go wrong, but somehow they’re in no rush to actually do anything themselves.
