The only thing surprising is that russia and china agreeing to this. Maybe because it worded where russia and china didn’t know it was also applying there own form of colonialism or thought they can bullshit they way out of it

These votes are meaningless – nothing more than point scoring excersises.
Similar to the Ukraine one the other day.
Countries representatives vote along already established „lines“, regardless of what the issue is about.
The text of the motion doesn’t even matter – it’s all about political points and opposing the „other side“.

Fun fact: this was proposed by Russia, a country famously not involved in colonialism in any forms or manifestations. I’m sure their intent behind this proposal was pure and motivated by morality.

Russia tabled this to get anti western anti Zionist types up in a frenzy which destabilizes the West. The West looks bad while the far-left, far-right, Islamists, and other authoritarian minded people have more reason to gloat over the „moral bankruptcy and hypocrisy“ of the West.
China and Russia are the new Axis powers and will bring ww 3 with their hostile goals with Ukraine and Taiwan. Must be a different manifestation of colonialism.
The funniest thing about „Colonialism“ is that every country that was a „Colony“ is better off today than nearly every country that was not a colony in the same area. Also no one is colonizing now, this international day against colonialism would be like having Internation Dinosaur safety day. Useless waste of paper.

Funny, that Russia and China are a couple of big colonial empires which never gave up their territories! Russia is even now trying to recolonise Ukraine!
Start including wording that incorporates Arab conquest and colonization, Chinese imperialism, Japanese Imperialism and the likes, and Japan ,China and the entire Gulf will quickly go RED!!
