This is precisely the reason that *everyone* with half a brain should immediately dismiss Republicans‘ bleating about socialism.

    2. Or he could have not done tarriffs, and the farmers would have made this money in sales to China (actually paid by China), instead of bailing them out with taxpayer money.

Some people will never, ever have to face the consequences for their shitty, irresponsible decisions.

Just like he did during his first disaster of a term. What a complete moron…

    5. Great. So taxpayers get to foot the bill for Trumps idiotic and nonsensical economic policies.

The last time he did this, the megafarms reaped something like 80% of the funds he gave out. So your small time farmer will get the shaft, just like before.

This money will somehow be used for the big corps to buy out the little family farms – I doubt this will even help the average farmer as it seems.

So redistribution of money we are paying for higher priced goods as a result of the tariffs.. Trump is a p o s

Farmers voted for the tariffs let them face the consequences of their votes

    10. But I’m getting a $5000 DOGE check, right? And a $2000 tariff rebate check, right? And a new healthcare plan, right? All coming in 2 weeks, right?

Interesting. I’m sure the conservative leaning farmers will see this as „socialism“ and loudly reject such an offer. /s

Taxpayers are bailing them out, not Trump.

The same taxpayers who are already paying more for food due to Trump.

    13. „Trump to offer slush funds to megacorps so they can buy out farmers going into bankruptcy without using their own capital“

    14. Same Trump playbook. Create a policy that creates a huge problem, let it simmer for awhile, then hear the outrage. Then he undoes the thing he did and takes credit for fixing it. This is the same fucking thing.

Wait. A bailout for what? Is something wrong with the economy? You don’t just casually drop a “bailout”.

Once again, welfare and socialism for a demographic who keeps pushing the big red button to take it away from others. I am so tired of bailing these people out who constantly vote against their own best interests.

Anyone tallied up the amount of bailouts as a result of GOP policies since Reagan? It’s almost like conservatism has never worked, ever.

    18. TarnishedAccount on

      The current economy:

      – Bailouts
      – Layoffs
      – GDP and Unemployment records not being released

      All is fine folks /s

So the price of doing business in agriculture went up due to tariffs that Americans paid for, and now Americans get to pay for a bailout being handed out to those doing business in agriculture due to those tariffs that Americans paid for.

It makes more and more sense every day how this man managed to bankrupt multiple casinos despite the entire business model of a casino being to collect more money than you pay out.
