    1. France, The Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Italy are all on other continents as well and this is just from the top of my head.

[edit] Immediate downvote. Care to explain what’s wrong with what I said?

Fun fact: There are more Turks in just the European portion of turkey, than there are Lithuanians, Albanians, Estonians, Montenegrins, and Andorrans combined

I have always considered Panama’s southeast border to be South America’s border.

North and South America’s limit is in the Darien Gap, not the Canal.

Panama seems to be a bit of a stretch. It seems to me South America clearly starts at Colombia, not a little finger jutting into Panama.

Also not sure why Europe is a continent in the first place. It’s basically Western Asia. We have Central Asia, South Asia, south east Asia etc…

Tectonically speaking there’s no basis to demarcate Europe as a continent, it’s a region.

Europe doesn’t magically end in Bosphorus, that is a mediaeval fairy tale based on religion

I think that Northern Italy might be slightly European also. People there also look…almost European.

Geologically, Russia is also located in North America – the Kamchatka Peninsula and part of the Russian Far East are located on the North American lithospheric plate.

I don’t think Panama considers itself a two continent country cause they don’t think they might not think the Americas are split, but also, even the people who split the Americas don’t split them at the Panama Canal.

Several European countries still have territories in the Caribbean, Pacific or other areas

    13. Does what continent you are in have any real implications beyond geographic identification?

How come Kazakhstan is never mentioned as a European country when Russia is, and Turkey as well, even though Turkey has a far smaller area?

Both countries are called European countries all the time here in Europe, but I think I’ve never heard Kazakhstan mentioned as such.

This also kind of depends on us all continuing to accept the absolutely nonsense argument that Europe and Asia are distinct continents.

    16. Spain has territories in continental Africa (and of course islands that geographocally belong to the African plate).
