      I hope this has a quick resolution.

      We dont need more wars or conflicts to start up and egg on the unnamed warmongers.

      He doesn’t do peace deals.

      He threatens parties into ceasefires without addressing the underlying conflict.

      Stunt to win a Nobel Peace Prize > an actual peace plan. It was a ceasefire with no follow-up, and so shaky that a landmine is the reason it fell apart.

      Umm, if they launched airstrikes, is the peace agreement really in place?

      And it’s Trump… it was never going to last.

      It feels more like it’s staged at this point. They bomb each other and then make up a few days later, and then Trump announces that he has prevented a war again. Then frame himself as the “peace president”

      On a serious note, for those with a trip planned here, the conflict isn’t affecting any of the areas you will likely go to. Preah Vihear is obviously closed for tourism though, so you’ll miss that.

      Does trump really deserve any credit for the ceasefire? I’m unaware of any US effort in brokering or meditating in the conflict, as far as I’m aware it was all “in-house” (as in an ASEAN effort). Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
