> The American director, who made Oscars history earlier this year as the first person to win four Oscars in the same night for the same movie with “Anora,” said he will not “go for the next $150 million studio thing” as the next step in his illustrious career. Asked about what’s next following the Oscars prestige, he said: “The opportunities are there, whether [I’ll] take them or not, that’s the question.”

Theaters are dying, let people watch how they want. Funny seeing the pushback coming from him since his big movie is something that absolutely does not need to be seen in a theater. Nobody but the people making too much money cares about this window.
Just please don’t let it end up at MAGAmount aka paramount.
Sean baker was never going to do a blockbuster anyway.
“I got mine, so now I’m gonna tell everyone not to get theirs.”
Isn’t this the same guy who was twerking for a fast and the furious gig a few years back?
As far as I can recall he’s never had any commercial success. Even Anora, with all the oscar plaudits still made a small amount.
When will the days of overpriced actors stop? Not many movie stars left that can guarantee box office success. The whole industry needs to reevaluate itself including the actors.
