We fought a world war to stop this shit in the 1940s. Now the leaders of our country are trying again. Back in the 1940s, Germany wasn’t a world superpower so when the rest of Europe locked arms with the USA we put the Nazis out of business.
This time around, most of the world’s firepower is held by USA, China, and Russia. China and Russia aren’t likely to care about human rights abuses here. Nor are any of the middle-eastern countries. Remaining democratic countries in Europe have been registering their disapproval, but I don’t think we can count on them to band together to oppose USA militarily.
