  1. Why do your days have like 60 hours and what can I do to also achieve this sorcery?

  2. Like pretty much all these plans that are posted, I wonder why people just not want to get to one place and explore it properly and thoroughly. Munich is big enough for a couple of days. The surroundings are interesting enough for a couple more.

Schloss Nymphenburg is most decidedly not exterior of Munich.

I really do not see ans use in spending one third of your vacation on the road or in trains, the second third sleeping and the last third rushing through places without taking in anything properly.

Your draft is enough for two weeks and I don’t really see you admiring anything in it, to be totally frank.

  3. Are you American? Day 2 is like 500 m by foot. If you take a rental car you would probably have to park further away than if you just walk from your hotel to your destination.

You don’t need a car in German inner cities. If anything, it makes the whole thing much more inconvenient.

  5. Stay away from the Hofbräuhaus, it’s mega touristy. In June you’ll be better hitting up one of the beer gardens, I’d recommend the Augustiner Keller beer garden or Hirschgarten. Bit more local. Also consider doing one of the free (tip based) walking tours (Sandhams are the original) as that will get you around some of the main spots and give you some history. I’d also recommend the Englischer Garten (north part) and actually taking a trip up the Olympiaturm if the weather is clear – you can get a good view to the Alps.

If you really want to do Schloss Neuschwanstein, go early, book well in advance if you want to go inside. I’d recommend going for a walk around Alpsee though, get you away from people.

A more local thing to do though would be to head south on the train and go for a day hike. Garmisch, Tegernsee, Oberammergau, for example

  6. Day 2, you don’t need either car or transit. That’s all in walkable distance

Day 3, I chuckled at „exterior München“ and those sights. Nothing of those sights is „exterior“ to München. Using transit is fine. Personally I’d skip the overpriced, overacted Hofbräuhaus and go to a chill Biergarten where the locals hang out.

Day 4, busy day. I hope when you say „travel to Salzburg“ you mean arriving by night, because…

Day 5, solid plan. No idea whether the Festspielhaus has something on the calendar.
