      Usually, my Data Art project involves the code to visualize countries (I actually have a typographic map of Iceland too that I can share later if anyone is interested).

      But for this piece, I felt the machine algorithms were too cold to show what I expected to see 🙂 I wanted to capture some texture of the island. So I switched to a manual process – I spent the weekend searching through scans of old newspapers to find the names of towns and glaciers to collect them all together.

      Hearing that this piece was well-received by locals (friends of an acquaintance) gave me the confidence to share it here with you all.

      Hope you enjoy this analog break from the digital world 🙂

    2. I love that the probably most insignificant place in the country takes the most space.
