I was trying to photograph the moon last night with a DSLR on a tripod, and it just looked like a lightbulb no matter what I tried. Maybe I needed to crank the shutter speed right down in the settings?
I think it was overexposing due to the black sky around a very bright full moon. Does anyone have suggestions? I have only tried astrophotography once before, capturing starfields with long exposures.

I don’t know why but the moon seems so… Special. The singular grey circle in our night sky it’s just so beautiful.

Wait until you see the Moon through a telescope. The Montes Caucasus are beautiful in a clear night.
