      Alan Dye leaving Apple isn’t the bad news the media tries to turn it into. The guy is responsible for the most visually inaccessible, inconsistent and ugliest MacOS and iOS iteration to date. The „Apple of old“ would have never greenlit and released something like that. Liquid Glass design is pretty much an anti-consumer iteration with the exception of a few new features. Meta can have him, he’ll fit right in with their anti-consumer products.

      The real concern is with John Giannandrea and Lisa Jackson. Giannandrea will be replaced with an Ex-Microsoft guy who bloated Win 11 with unwanted AI anti-privacy features, so fun times ahead.

      If this is the reaction to Liquid Glass, I’m going to say that it’s an under reaction.

      This “behind in AI” talk is exhausting, these llm systems have broken into the mainstream in the last year, maybe two charitably. There’s already tons of flux and will be more. The main UI is a text box and an upload button. There’s like 0 lock in on any of the platforms. This is an irrational fear for a company as big as Apple.

      Tim Cook will be remembered to have been leading Apple from within the lower back body parts of that crazy president.

      Liquid Glass sucks and it’s good for Apple users that the architect of Liquid Glass is leaving.

      No consumer is upset that Apple is “behind in AI”. That’s probably a plus factor at this point. We just want a UI that is simple to use and doesn’t look like shit

      Yeah. Both my phone and my wife’s (less than 3-4 years old) are absolutely draining battery since the update. My phone dies while plugged into a charger in my car sometimes. This is 100% by design, they can’t innovate anymore so they have to force you into a new product by inconveniencing you with your current one. Fuck Apple, I hope they get destroyed by a class action lawsuit, I know I’m not alone
