      The no tax on tips thing is so dumb and unnecessary. Not only does it incentivize moving non-tipped roles to tipped roles, it creates needless complications such as what’s going on in the article.

      Just do away with sub-minimum wages. If a restaraunt or whatever can’t get by while paying its workers $2 an hour then it doesn’t deserve to have dine-in service.

      Expect no men to get caught up in this. They’re going after the content creators because they are largely women who gain incomes in a way they don’t approve of.

      They are cracking down on women. The next year is suspected to be a large attempt to roll back women’s rights. We know there’s a half of project 2025 not published because it’s expected to be unpopular. The Trump administration is also starting to push out women.

      As a reminder, white men are far from the majority of the US population, currently sitting at 29% of the population. Everything is currently DEI for white men with Trump.

      Not really understanding why the IRS would have to „watch“ any content to determine the status of tips. Onlyfans has an entire payment category for tips so any standard pay table breakdown the creator has should suffice. In a completely clinical way there is effectively no difference in pay structure for a creator on OF than there is for your average stripper at a strip club. We don’t make a discrimination against how other tipped professions earned their tips, whether it was for promised services rendered or just because the customer felt generous.

      It’s a ploy to make cheaper labor seem more attractive to workers so billionaires can pocket even more money by not paying livable wages.
