      I’m struggling to understand what „planned voluntary“ and „none“ mean here. Surely Germany, the UK and France already have militaries?

      What? You are telling me 13 European countries don’t have a standing army?

    3. German ‚voluntary‘ service practically will work as compulsory if volunteer quotas are not fulfilled.

    4. Would be nice to see the percentage of men who serve. The system in Scandinavia is not the same at all as the one in Finland.

      North Korea and Israel are the two countries in the world to have mandatory conscription for both men and women.

      To the surprise of nobody, countries close to Russia tend to have compulsory military service.
