ukrainians are dying in the trenches and cities, after their protests wrestled control of the nation being in servitude to pro-russian oligarchs. it’s a war none of them wanted.

people need to stop dreaming and wake up to the fact, that humans will always exploit humans and take what they want if no one stops them. russians that didn’t want to fight, are sent to the trenches regardless.

Something tells me those protesters are the same people who oppose aiding Ukraine and want to be friends with putin.

For years German politicians claimed that video games – especially shooters – would ‘damage’ young people and make them unfit for real life.
Now the same political class suddenly wants this very generation to pick up real guns.
As Martin Sonneborn put it: they were terrified of teenagers ‘shooting’ on a screen, but now they have no problem sending them into an actual war.
That hypocrisy says everything about how little the youth ever mattered to these people.

If we Europeans are not willing to fight for our way of life, institutions, rights, etc, then someone else will fight to subjugate us.

It’s not complicated.

Europe has become too accustomed to safety and security and stability and prosperity which came at the cost of Instability in other regions and security cover provided by US

And now that US is ignoring Europe and wants to focus their resources on Asia Indo Pacific, Europe just couldn’t accept the reality that it’s been ignored

They want to drag US and keep it invested in European security and affairs .

Europe has to fight its own wars and exercise its own diplomacy. If it fails to act and engage the prosperity achieved after WW2 will all go in vain .

Wake up to reality. New geopolitical allignments are taking shape .

Conscription is simply incompatible with modern society, even in Ukraine that’s a pretty conservative and traditional country it’s been a shit show with people being dragged off the streets or fleeing across the border. Now imagine in Germany where for 80 years they’ve been told to not be patriotic.

From a historical perspective: The fewer Germans who are in the military, the better off we ALL are.

They should be protesting against Putin and the Russians.

That’s why they had to pass this bill.

this whole thing is a fucking russian funded psyop. you may not like war but it likes you and if everyone just decides that they are pacifist, then we better start learning fucking russian. good thing we still have countries like Poland and the Baltics between us (Germany) and Russia.

EVERYBODY complaining about OTHERS not wanting to fight and become cannon fodder should be automatically sent to the war NOW

And here’s why Russia will win. The unwillingness to stand up and fight against evil. Ukraine has been fighting Russia by itself with one hand tied behind their back.

Shows the EU is all bark on Russia- they want the US to defend them, hence why trump can bully them. They aren’t serious countries

I kinda can understand both sides. Our military needs to get more powerful. On the other hand, I also would have been hesitant towards compulsory military service, and this decision was made without involving the people it will affect. They weren’t even allowed to vote in federal elections yet.

But at the end, nobody is forced to do military service. So far only the medical examination is compulsory. And even if the aimed quote isn’t met and some people get drafted, they can say No and do substitute service.

So the program is voluntary, and the explanation is entirely reasonable in my opinion. You can’t have a free nation if you can’t defend it. Somebody’s gotta do that.

If anyone wants to stop Russian expansion then seize all Russian money. I mean that of oligarchs. Arrest oligarchs. Ban Russian tourists. Actually, really blockade Russia. So, I mean cripple Russia. Also, investigate imprison politicians who have taken Russian money.
