Now he’s locked up they’ll go down again right? Right?
Maybe if they weren’t such a hyper religious school they wouldn’t have attracted the likes of Bourke.
Why have they still not held the appeal hearing that they promised him? It seems like that would fix a lot of their problems.
They suspended him, he appealed it, and the next step is to give him his final answer in the appeal hearing. And then he can take that answer and fuck off. Or more likely he’ll sue them over some employment law, in which case he’ll get his final answer from the courts. But in either case, it will put an end to it.
This bollocks of dragging it out for years and putting the cost of it onto us taxpayers isn’t achieving anything. He’s their problem not ours.
Edit: The appeal hearing [is due on the 13th of this month](https://www.irishtimes.com/crime-law/courts/2025/12/03/enoch-burke-will-remain-in-jail-for-christmas-judge-says/). But they suspended him in June 2022 and fired him in January 2023. If it didn’t take them 3.5 years to hold a meeting we wouldn’t have had to pay for all this Garda and court time. He could have got his answer in 2022, brought it to the WRC, and that would have been the end of it. But we’re only getting to that stage now.
