Let me know when it’s decoupled from the price of gas and my bills will go down.
I’ll be waiting.

Ireland is sitting on a gold mine here yet when a battery storage facility is planned we have the usual NIMBY objectors.
“Over 200 objections were lodged against the scheme for Curraduff, Newmarket, Co Cork and in their appeal, Con O’Connor and Maura Cronin O’Connor have told ACP: “The Government need to stall the fast movement of both renewable energy and data centre projects and look at the climate crisis in its entirety, as well as the socioeconomic impact of this reckless growth in two industries that are in their infancy. Both have negative impacts on the environment.”
Now if only we could harness this wind even more by building more turbines, regardless of what Mary 5km down the road thinks about them.

Great for their profits. Meanwhile our costs are linked to gas prices which are enormous because certain ministers you all have a horn for, did idiotic things like get rid of the Kinsale gas field, block Shannon LNG plant etc..
