>The justice ministry said it was also working on integrating the tracking system into the national emergency hotline, so police could be deployed to protect victims as needed.

Interesting. So this is more of an extension/update of an existing system to make more useful to victims. And, apparently, the stalkers are already required to wear the tracking device anyway.

hope there are safeguards to prevent the stalkee being stalked with app.
