Why don’t you just use the standard deviation of elevation?

Much better but I would still rather look at a topographical/elevation map.

I love that they put I-95 just along that last flat county on the east coast before the hills.

You just cranked that dial from a 2 up to 11… can I get it at like a 6?

Both this and the previous map are useful together.
This one is more nuanced on the flatter counties, but doesn’t show the difference in the most extremely-mountainous counties. Your previous map was informative on the way it broke down that latter category.

I don’t know exactly how this is supposed to work, but I’ve lived in two counties that are „medium“ purple in color on this map, and one is flat. Flat flat. The other is mountainous. Good ‚ol Appalachian mountains. I’m baffled. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
