No, this is *horrific* news. This is Canada supporting a modern-day brown-shirt/secret police as it puts the boot to the American populace and works to silence dissent.
This is the kind of sale that our government should be blocking on humanitarian grounds, and be subject to export controls. It is morally offensive, and we should not be backing ICE in any fashion.

I’m cynical of the ICE deal with a Canadian manufacturer for very different reasons than the orange crush crowd, but Ford celebrating a manufacturing win is not one of them.

This article and the reaction to it is pretty overblown tbh. It’s 20 pickup trucks with some Armor on them. Zero offensive capabilities or weapons, a citizen can buy them.
This isn’t a news story and the gov shouldn’t impede this companies standard business. Not to mention Canada is in genuinely desperate need to support these companies here in order to have any ability to push back against the US military industry.
