Tut mir leid, ich bin noch nicht lange in Deutschland, könnte aber einen Rat gebrauchen. Mein Vermieter stellte drei Mülleimer im Flur direkt neben meiner Wohnungstür auf. Der Geruch von Müll zieht in meine Wohnung. Die Tür ist direkt neben meiner Küche. Es ist uns nicht gestattet, die Mülleimer draußen aufzustellen. Der Vermieter kann keinen Platz bauen, um sie draußen aufzustellen. Offenbar lässt ihn die Stadt nicht, denn das Wohnhaus liegt an einer belebten Hauptstraße.
Kann ich etwas gegen den Geruch tun? Ich habe darüber nachgedacht, die Tür abzudichten, aber die Tür sitzt ziemlich schief. Außerdem öffnet sich die Tür nach außen statt nach innen.

One idea on this to tackle this problem from another angle: Are those bins in the hallway that is used to exit the building or are they in a part of the hallway that’s not used by anyone? If it’s part of the used hallway it might a problem as it’s a potential fire hazard and could increase the fire load. What’s the width of the hallway where the bins are, is the width smaller because of those bins? But now, don’t ask me if there can be exceptions to this rule (potential fire hazard, fire load).
Unfortunately the above is probably no short-term solution for you, so other advice welcome.
